Senior Solutions Architect
Validere
Who we are:
Validere is the unified platform for emissions management, EHS compliance and asset management for the energy industry. Our all-in-one platform empowers energy companies to make smarter decisions by streamlining operations with integrated data, automation, and predictive insights.
Over 50 of the world’s leading energy companies rely on Validere’s technology and multidisciplinary experts to improve their operations and navigate complex compliance requirements with clarity and ease. The company has offices in Calgary and Toronto.
About the role:
As a member of the Solutions Architecture team at Validere, you will play a key role in supporting our efforts throughout the entire sales cycle, from technical scoping in presales through to implementation. Leveraging a deep understanding of our product, you will provide strategic technical guidance, help uncover and define customer use cases, and identify opportunities for new solutions. This is a customer-facing role that requires strong technical expertise and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Let’s give you a purpose:
Own Technical Engagements End-to-End: Provide technical leadership from presales through early implementation, shaping solution architecture and ensuring successful platform adoption.
Partner Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering to surface customer insights, influence roadmap priorities, and strengthen presales strategy.
Drive Solution Discovery & Value Realization: Translate customer challenges into scalable solutions on the Validere platform. Deliver compelling demos and PoCs that clearly articulate ROI and operational impact.
Deliver Actionable Data Insights: Analyze data across the Validere platform and external systems to identify trends, optimization opportunities, and product enhancements.
Facilitate Technical Workshops & Architecture Sessions: Lead discovery workshops and deep-dive sessions that accelerate customer understanding and technical buy-in.
Translate Complexity into Clarity: Bridge technical depth with business strategy — communicating architecture decisions, tradeoffs, and impact in clear commercial terms.
Continuously Elevate Your Craft: Develop deep expertise in the Validere platform, APIs, and broader technology stack while staying current on industry trends.
What you’ll bring along:
First-principles thinking – you have a strong desire to understand any topic at a deeper level than most, and are unsatisfied with decisions based on convention or unjustified assumptions
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, formulate and test hypotheses quickly and efficiently
Strong communication and presentation skills – experience with public speaking and workshop facilitation a strong plus
Hands-on experience with Python, Jupyter Notebooks, and common data libraries (NumPy, Pandas). Comfortable working across SQL, APIs, CSVs, and heterogeneous data systems.
Familiarity with leveraging standard API protocols and practices to query, manipulate and ingest data
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or another quantitative field (e.g. physics, math, statistics, etc.)
Preferred: 3+ years’ experience in a similar role (Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Data Consultant, etc.) with a proven track record of taking ownership and driving projects to completion
