Software Engineer - Trust Center
Software Engineering
Bellevue, WA, USA
At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.
We are hiring a Software Engineer for our Trust Center team. The Trust Center is a strategic platform that empowers Snowflake customers to monitor, achieve, and maintain a strong security, governance, privacy, and compliance posture — and as the agentic era accelerates, we're at the forefront of building AI-native security capabilities that protect the world's data at scale.
AS A SOFTWARE ENGINEER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
Design and implement extensible, plug-n-play platform and framework components that allow first-, second-, and third-party security detectors, responders, and visualizations to be built on top of Trust Center
Build high-availability, high-scale product features and services that deliver trust and risk management capabilities directly into the Snowflake platform
Leverage industry-accredited benchmarks (e.g., CIS — Center for Internet Security) to develop opinionated, standards-based security posture assessments for Snowflake customers
Contribute to behavioral analytics pipelines and PII attribution capabilities that help detect, prevent, and respond to threats and abuse vectors
Build and maintain compliance reporting, vulnerability patching transparency, and access transparency tooling that customers rely on for their own security programs
Work closely with Product Managers to drive features from early idea and design through to production deployment, with operational and release rigor baked in from the start
Support and extend a developer ecosystem that spans Snowflake, end customers, and external third-party developers — including integrations with Snowflake's Marketplace
Apply AI-assisted development practices and maintain a full-stack mindset, using frontier tooling to move faster and build more resilient software
OUR IDEAL SOFTWARE ENGINEER WILL HAVE:
Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems in production cloud environments
Strong foundational computer science skills — data structures, algorithms, systems design, and distributed computing
Proficiency in Java and Python for backend service development, with solid SQL skills for data-driven features
Experience building, shipping, and on-calling production services with a focus on availability, reliability, and observability
A collaborative, low-ego approach to engineering — comfortable iterating quickly and working across PM, design, and peer engineering teams
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
BONUS POINTS FOR THE FOLLOWING:
Familiarity with security, governance, privacy, or compliance domains — whether from prior industry experience, coursework, or personal interest
Experience with database internals, query engines, or data platform systems
Exposure to machine learning or AI systems, particularly applied to anomaly detection, behavioral analytics, or risk classification
Contributions to developer platforms, SDKs, or multi-tenant extensibility frameworks
Experience working with security benchmarks or compliance frameworks (CIS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)
WHY JOIN OUR TRUST CENTER TEAM AT SNOWFLAKE?
The Trust Center team builds a trust and risk management platform to empower Snowflake customers to monitor, identify, achieve, and maintain strong security, governance, privacy and compliance posture and allow for effective and simple risk management within Snowflake. This is a strategic investment to customer’s adoption of Snowflake as their data platform of choice. In the agentic era, leveraging the best of breed tooling in AI security monitoring and frontier security models is paramount. This platform shall also support a robust developer ecosystem which spans across Snowflake, end customers and external 3rd party developers to enable trust centric data applications via Snowflake’s Marketplace.
To deliver on our mission we are building solutions leveraging industry accredited benchmarks (e.g., CIS Center for Internet Security) and best practices. We complement this by quantifying both Snowflake customer accounts and the platform’s trust posture with insights that help prevent, detect and respond to threats and abuse vectors (behavioral analytics, PII attribution etc) and transparency via compliance certificates, vulnerability patching status, reporting and access transparency to customer data and accounts. We are just getting started and there’s plenty to build and innovate in this space!
Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
