About the Team and Role:
The Commercial Account Executive will report to the manager of Strategic and Commercial Sales. The goal of this role will be to grow Pinecone usage within the assigned account base, ensure customers are successful in their usage of Pinecone, and convert customers to annual contracts. The right candidate will have a high degree of technical knowledge and will partner closely with the SE, CS, Product and Marketing teams.
In this role, you will:
Manage inbound leads through the Product-Led-Growth and Marketing-Qualified-Lead channels
Lead all sales-related activities through the stages of the buying journey while following Pinecone’s defined sales process (responsible for closing deals)
Selling and winning against competitors
Ensure the customer is deployed successfully and positioned for expansion
Maintain the success of customers actively using Pinecone within your assigned account base
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Prior experience working in the infrastructure/data software/AI space
Minimum 2+ years experience in a sales role, ideally at least 1 year closing net new logos
A consistent track record of success
Located in NYC or willing to relocate
Bonus Points:
Experience in a start-up environment
Deep understanding of technology systems and the AI ecosystem
Product Led Growth and/or Go To Market experience
An understanding of MEDDPICC
