About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Program Manager who thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where the roadmap changes weekly because a new model launched, a customer asked for something, or strategy shifted overnight. You will own the execution of programs that span our agentic AI platform, applied AI products, and the engineering systems that power them. You will be a key partner to engineering leadership, product, and the broader TPM team, working across geographies and time zones to drive alignment, surface risk early, and ensure we ship.
This role is not about coordinating IT workstreams or running ceremonies. It's about owning outcomes end-to-end in an environment where ambiguity is the default and pace is the differentiator.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional programs spanning engineering, AI research, product, and design.
- Drive execution of agentic AI platform and product workstreams - from early architecture and feature definition through deployment.
- Build and adapt program plans dynamically as scope, models, customer requirements, and priorities shift.
- Partner with the broader TPM team across geographies (Palo Alto and India) - establish strong daily handshakes, async-friendly workflows, and clear accountability across time zones.
- Surface risk early and drive resolution - proactively identify blockers, escalate appropriately, and hold stakeholders accountable to commitments.
- Coordinate release planning, launch readiness, and post-launch monitoring across multiple concurrent programs.
- Drive cross-functional alignment through influence rather than authority —-make decisions stick across engineering, product, AI research, and field-facing teams.
- Establish lightweight, fit-for-purpose processes - bring just enough structure to move faster, not slower.
- Communicate program status, risks, and key decisions clearly to executive leadership.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of technical program management experience, with at least 4–6 years driving complex, cross-functional programs in fast-moving environments.
- Hands-on technical background - prior experience as a software engineer, ML engineer, or in a deeply technical role. You should be comfortable engaging in architecture discussions, technical tradeoffs, and engineering decisions.
- Proven track record operating in startup, scale-up, or fast-moving AI/platform environments. Strong preference for candidates who have shipped customer-facing AI/ML or platform products - not just supported them.
- Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes in ambiguous environments without playbooks or scaffolding - comfort building structure from scratch when needed, and equally comfortable operating without it.
- Strong assertiveness and ability to hold the line on technical and delivery decisions, including disagreeing with senior stakeholders, holding engineering accountable to commitments, and escalating cleanly when necessary.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams, particularly across US and India time zones.
- Self-starter mindset - willing to roll up sleeves, dig into details, and own outcomes end-to-end.
- Strong working knowledge of Agile delivery, but pragmatic about adapting ceremonies and frameworks to team and program needs.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Experience
- Direct experience working on or coordinating agentic AI, LLM-based, or conversational AI platforms.
- Familiarity with the modern GenAI stack - models, RAG, agents, evaluations, and deployment patterns.
- Experience supporting enterprise customers and field-facing teams (sales engineering, customer success, professional services).
- Exposure to platform-level program management, where customers are developers or other engineering teams.
- Comfort with hands-on tooling -Jira, Confluence, GitHub - including building dashboards and lightweight automation to scale yourself.
