This is a high-impact, combined role sitting at the intersection of strategy and execution — responsible for designing competitive pay structures, overseeing employee benefits offerings, and ensuring our total rewards philosophy attracts and retains exceptional talent across all geographies. This position reports to the Chief People Officer and partners closely with Finance, Legal, and senior leadership.
Compensation
Design, manage, and continuously improve global compensation frameworks including base pay, variable pay, and equity programs aligned to Uniphore’s growth stage and talent strategy.
Lead annual compensation review cycles, merit planning, and incentive program administration across all levels and geographies.
Conduct ongoing market analysis using compensation surveys to ensure pay competitiveness; recommend adjustments as warranted.
Develop and maintain job architecture, salary bands, and grade structures to support organizational scaling and internal equity.
Partner with Finance on compensation modeling, headcount planning, and budget forecasting for people costs.
Ensure compliance with pay equity regulations and proactively conduct pay equity analyses; recommend and implement corrective actions where needed.
Manage executive compensation programs including deferred compensation, long-term incentive plans, and equity refresh cycles.
Benefits
Own the strategy, design, and administration of all employee benefit programs — including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA/HSA, 401(k)/retirement plans, and voluntary benefits — across U.S. and international locations.
Lead annual benefits open enrollment planning, communications strategy, and vendor management from start to finish.
Evaluate, negotiate, and manage relationships with benefits brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators; monitor performance against SLAs.
Oversee leave of absence programs (FMLA, STD/LTD, parental leave, ADA accommodations) ensuring regulatory compliance and a positive employee experience.
Benchmark benefits offerings against market peers and emerging trends; make data-driven recommendations to enhance cost-effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with all applicable benefits laws (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA) and international statutory requirements.
Strategy & Leadership
Serve as the subject matter expert for all total rewards matters; advise HRBPs and business leaders on compensation decisions, offer negotiations, and retention strategies.
Leverage HRIS and compensation management tools to maintain data integrity and produce analytics and dashboards for leadership.
Support M&A due diligence and integration activities related to compensation and benefits, including harmonization planning.
Qualifications
8+ years of progressive experience in total rewards, compensation, and/or benefits — with at least 3 years in a senior individual contributor or people management role.
Demonstrated expertise managing both compensation and benefits programs simultaneously in a global technology startup.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to build models, interpret data, and present insights and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders.
Working knowledge of multi-country compensation structures and international benefits; experience with India, EMEA, or APAC markets strongly preferred.
Familiarity with equity compensation and experience administering equity programs.
Proficiency with HRIS platforms (Workday preferred) and advanced Excel; comfort with compensation survey participation and analysis.
Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
Would need to be on-site in Palo Alto office.
