Gong's Professional Services organisation is growing fast. As the business scales, so does the demand for Consultants who can bring structure, credibility, and domain expertise to some of the world's most complex revenue transformations. Within the Professional Services organisation, the Activation Services team leads the onboarding and activation of every new Enterprise customer, and we are looking for people who want to help shape what that looks like at scale.
This role is well suited to someone with practical experience in forecasting, sales engagement platforms or pipeline management within a revenue organisation. You are now looking to apply that experience in a structured, client facing consulting role.
Each Activation project team consists of an Engagement Manager, Consultant(s), Technical Architects and Program Architects, with broader cross-functional collaboration with Product, Support and Customer Success. As a Consultant, you will own the discovery, design, strategy and business and privacy workstreams, serving as the trusted advisor to the customer and bringing industry and domain best practice to every engagement.
This is a team in build mode. As we scale, we need consultants who not only deliver exceptional outcomes for customers, but also help design the frameworks, playbooks and ways of working that will define Activation Services long term. You will thrive in change, align stakeholders across functions and turn complexity into scalable structure.
Responsibilities
- Own the discovery, design, strategy, and business and privacy workshops across customer activations.
- Lead discovery workshops to surface business requirements, uncover revenue process pain, and define the configuration and adoption approach for each engagement.
- Act as the trusted advisor to the customer, bringing industry knowledge, revenue domain expertise and best practice to every interaction — from executive sponsor to frontline manager to end-user.
- Translate real-world forecasting, pipeline and sales engagement practices into well-designed platform solutions that reflect how each customer's revenue motion actually works.
- Develop and deliver polished, enterprise-grade presentations and documentation — solution designs, process maps, strategic roadmaps and stakeholder communications — suitable for audiences up to and including senior leadership.
- Map customer objectives to product use cases, demonstrating clear outcomes that meet Gong's methodology exit criteria at each stage of the activation.
- Collaborate closely with the Engagement Manager, Technical Architects and Program Architects to ensure workstreams progress in lockstep, and engage Product, Support and Customer Success where cross-functional input is required.
- Consult on change management and adoption from the outset, equipping customers to sustain and build on their investment beyond the activation phase.
- Manage engagements to scope and timeline, proactively escalating risks or delays with the Engagement Manager on the project.
- Contribute to practice development — refining discovery frameworks, solution design templates and consultative playbooks that help Activation Services grow consistently and sustainably.
Qualifications
Required
- 4-6 years of experience within a go to market organisation or consulting environment, with hands-on experience in areas such as forecasting, sales engagement platforms, pipeline management or revenue operations.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with a track record of working across technical, commercial and operational teams.
- Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where product lines, methodology and cross-functional support models are constantly evolving.
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, prioritise effectively and drive tasks through to completion without losing attention to detail.
- Proven understanding of core revenue generating activities, including forecasting, prospecting, pipeline management, and executing established sales methodologies.
- Experience producing polished, enterprise-grade deliverables — presentations, process documentation, configuration guides and strategic roadmaps.
- Strong working knowledge of CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot or Dynamics.
- Willingness to travel across EMEA.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with sales engagement platforms such as Gong, Outreach, Salesloft or Apollo, and/or revenue forecasting tools such as Clari, Aviso or Salesforce Forecasting.
- Experience with AI workflow configuration including agent customisation and prompt engineering.
- Experience working in a high-growth SaaS environment.
- Basic understanding of common integrations, including CRM integrations, SSO and API or OAuth based connections.
