Role: Senior Staff Software Engineer (Backend & Infrastructure)

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Staff Software Engineer to architect, lead, and drive strategic initiatives for robust, scalable backend infrastructure and microservices. You'll provide technical leadership and mentorship, while optimizing system performance, reliability, and scalability using tools like Docker, TypeScript, MongoDB, and generative AI technologies.
Responsibilities
- Architect and lead large-scale backend and infrastructure initiatives.
- Design, implement, and optimize microservices-based systems.
- Improve performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems.
- Implement infrastructure solutions leveraging Docker, MongoDB, TypeScript, and modern cloud technologies.
- Integrate and leverage generative AI technologies where appropriate.
- Drive best practices for performance engineering, observability, monitoring, and reliability.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance across teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data, and other engineering teams.
Qualifications
- BS/MS or higher in Computer Science or a closely related technical field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in software engineering focused on backend and infrastructure.
- Proven technical leadership experience driving large-scale microservices implementations.
- Extensive experience optimizing backend systems performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Significant track record implementing infrastructure solutions leveraging:
- Docker
- MongoDB
- TypeScript
- Generative AI technologies
- Expert-level proficiency in designing and building infrastructure with:
- TypeScript
- MongoDB
- Docker
- Modern cloud technologies
- Extensive knowledge of:
- Microservices architecture
- Container orchestration
- RESTful API development
- Demonstrated expertise with:
- Performance engineering
- Reliability and scalability strategies
- Generative AI
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and monitoring tools.
- Outstanding leadership, problem-solving, and architectural decision-making capabilities.

Compensation
- Base Salary Range: $230,000 - $250,000 per year
- Our compensation range reflects the cost of labor across multiple U.S. geographic markets. The exact amount offered will depend on your skills, experience, and work location.
