This highly visible role requires a leader who can quickly build trust, influence across functions, scale strategic programs, and bring customer voices to life in ways that engage prospects, deepen relationships, and strengthen Cohesity’s market leadership.
Reporting to the VP of Corporate Communications, this role will lead a small but mighty team and oversee staff, vendors, agencies, and cross-functional programs. The right candidate brings executive presence, customer obsession, strategic rigor, operational excellence, and a willingness to experiment with emerging media and AI.
HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:
Lead the strategy for Cohesity’s customer marketing and advocacy programs, aligning priorities to business goals and defining clear metrics for success.
Build and scale high-impact customer storytelling programs across case studies, videos, executive references, reviews, peer-to-peer engagement, advisory boards, user groups, and community advocacy.
In partnership with Sales and company executives, identify priority customers for advocacy initiatives, strategic briefings, speaking opportunities, and other high-value opportunities.
Design, manage, and scale the Executive Advisory Board and Customer Advisory Board programs, from member selection and agenda planning to executive participation, meeting execution, follow-up, and ongoing engagement.
Build and scale the Cohesity Community to foster customer engagement, advocate for customer needs, and drive brand loyalty and growth through innovative community-focused initiatives.
Drive content excellence by translating customer outcomes into compelling narratives for Sales, Marketing, PR, AR, social, events, executive presentations, webinars, and digital channels.
Experiment fearlessly with emerging media and AI to scale content production, personalize customer engagement, surface advocacy insights, and improve program efficiency.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing customer marketing team that operates with clarity, creativity, accountability, and a deep commitment to the customer experience.
Leverage data to guide program and resourcing decisions. Define KPIs and use insights to spot opportunities, improve results, and demonstrate business impact.
WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
10–15+ years of customer marketing, customer advocacy, community, or related marketing experience, preferably in a global B2B technology environment.
Strong executive presence and the ability to operate as a trusted partner to senior leaders, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
A proven ability to be both strategic and resourceful — setting a clear vision, building scalable programs, and executing with urgency in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for exceptional writing, storytelling, and visual communications, with a strong understanding of how to make customer stories resonate across audiences and channels.
Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, personalize engagement, support decision-making, and improve the speed and quality of marketing outputs.
Strong analytical skills and experience defining KPIs, measuring program effectiveness, and using data to optimize customer advocacy, references, reviews, community, and storytelling programs.
Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage numerous projects and work streams end-to-end.
Experience building, mentoring, and coaching high-performing teams, with a keen sense of purpose and a commitment to employee development.
WE ARE EXTRA EXCITED IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
Experience in enterprise technology, cybersecurity, data security, data management, cloud, SaaS, or other complex B2B environments.
Hands-on experience with customer advocacy platforms, customer review programs, community platforms, reference management systems, or marketing automation tools.
Experience building or deploying AI-enabled workflows, bots, automation, or insight-generation tools to improve customer marketing operations.
BS/BA preferred.
